[ARCHIVED] Yappy Hour at the James Island County dog park this Thursday!

[JAMES ISLAND] – Dog owners are invited to pick up man’s best friend after work and join the fun at James Island County Park! On select Thursday evenings now through October, Charleston County Parks invites pets and their people to enjoy the popular Yappy Hour series. The final two Yappy Hour events for 2015 will take place on Sept. 17 and Oct. 15 at James Island County Park.

Yappy Hour features live music and beverages for sale, directly in the off-leash dog park. On Thursday, Sept. 17, Dallas Baker and his Friends will perform, and Calhoun’s Calling will take the stage on Oct. 15.

Festivities will take place from 4 p.m. to sunset each day. Best of all, Yappy Hour is free with park admission!

You and your dog can mingle with friends old and new, while enjoying a festival-like atmosphere in the park. Admission to Yappy Hour is free with general park admission! Beverages and food are available for an additional fee. Outside alcohol and coolers are prohibited.
