COVID-19 Protocols

What You Can Do

  • Climbing is currently available by preregistration only
  • Bring your own equipment, or sign up to rent a harness from us (a limited number of harness rentals will be available per day and customers must purchase a rental online prior to their session).
  • Bring a mask that covers your mouth and nose. In the first phase of opening, while you climb or anytime you are within six feet of people it is required. This protects your fellow climbers because breathing on handholds is inevitable. We hope to maintain a supply of masks but can’t guarantee we will have one to sell or give you.
  • Bring a filled water bottle. Water fountains will not be available.
  • Use only liquid chalk which will be provided free of charge.
  • Expect there will be no instruction or orientations to first-time customers that will require staff to break the six-foot social distancing rule.
  • Use only auto belays on the Climbing Wall. The Bouldering Cave will also be available.
  • Be patient with staff and each other.
  • Maintain good social distancing of six feet at all times and wash or disinfect hands frequently including washing hands before entering the facility.
  • Avoid entering the Climbing Wall if you have been exposed to COVID-19 in the last two weeks or have a fever or other symptoms consistent with COVID-19.

Scheduling a Time Slot

To keep everyone safe, you will sign up for a time slot prior to showing up to climb. Climbers will be able to sign up for a single two-hour time slot per day. During our initial reopening phase, we will have the following time slots available:

  • Mon-Fri: 12-2, 2:15-4:15, 4:30-6:30
  • Sat-Sun: 10-12, 12:15-2:15, 2:30-4:30, 4:45-6:45

Time slots may be canceled due to weather concerns. We will contact you if this occurs, so please be sure we have current contact information associated with your account.

Reserving a Harness

If you need to reserve a harness from us, you must do so prior to arriving to climb, as availability is limited.

What Our Staff Will Do to Minimize Risk

  • Sanitize frequently touched surfaces (keypads, counters, phones, etc.).
  • Sanitize auto-belay tethers and carabiners in between each time slot
  • Prescreen through symptom and temperature checks prior to starting their shift each day
  • Wear masks at all times and practice social distancing
  • Give climbers a 30-minute warning before your time period ends.
