Charleston Sprint Triathlon Series

The five-race Charleston Sprint Triathlon Series at James Island County Park features a 600-yard freshwater swim, 12-mile bike ride, and 5K flat run. Over 30,000 people have raced the series over the years, and the series has been honored as one of the Top Ten Charleston Signature Sport Events by the Charleston Metro Sports Council.

2019 Race Dates & Registration

Register online, or call 843-795-4386. The first wave of each race begins at 7:15 a.m.

Phone and online registration ends on the Thursday prior to each race. On-site registration and packet pick up is available on the Saturday prior to each race from 5-6:30 p.m. at the James Island County Park Conference Center. Race day registration will be available from 6-7a.m.

Races Fees

  • 5-race package: $224
  • 4-race package: $205
  • 3-race package: $143
  • Individual races #1-4: $55 (add 20% on race-day)
  • Championship race #5: $60 (add 20% on race-day)

Pre-Race Swim Clinic

Open water swim clinics conducted by Blue Sky Endurance coaches will be held Monday evenings prior to each race on the Lake at James Island County Park for an additional fee. The training will take place on the actual swim course to help participants become more confident with the swim. Register online or call 843-795-4386.

Tri Club Team Competition

A Tri Club Team Competition and awards sponsored by Blue Sky Endurance will be held at the July 28 race.The deadline for registration and team rosters is Monday, July 22. Rosters, (one team per club, minimum of five team members), should be submitted in alphabetical order by last name via email. All individual team members must be registered for Race 4 by July 22.

Awards will be presented for Fastest Team (average time of all team members who cross the finish line) and Most Mugs (total of all mugs awarded regardless of place, AG, category). For more information, please email the race director.
