Waterpark Party Rules
Charleston County Parks are family-friendly facilities, and we expect all guests to behave accordingly. By participating in or utilizing park programs and facilities the user agrees to abide by all payment schedules, park and program rules and guidelines, and agrees all others participating will also abide by such rules. Usage is subject to compliance with all laws and facility rules and the user consents to reasonable examinations and searches to ensure compliance. Failure to comply with the law or facility rules may result in refusal of admission or expulsion.
Uneven surfaces, potentially hazardous wildlife, and weather extremes are part of the natural environment. Be prepared and stay aware.
The Charleston County Park & Recreation Commission has Agency Rules and Regulations (PDF) that establish uniform procedures for the administration of activities within all parks and facilities. In addition to the established agency rules, the rules set forth below also govern waterpark party rentals:
- The permit-holder is responsible for distributing all rental information to group members.
- Alcoholic beverages are prohibited.
- No outside food or beverages are allowed with the exception of cake and ice cream for the 10-person or 20-person group package. Cake and ice cream cannot be brought in with a cabana-only rental.
- Cake is not provided. Groups may bring their own cake and/or ice cream in a paper or plastic container. No glass is allowed.
- Cakes and/or ice cream will be stored by park staff until the group is ready for it. Groups will need to provide their own candles, lighter, paper products, and serving & eating utensils.
- Groups may bring their own bag lunches into the County Park but not into the Waterpark. Lunches must be stored in their vehicles. The group may exit the waterpark to have lunch in one of our many shaded and convenient picnic locations.
- Proper swimming attire is required. Children 2 and under are required to wear swim diapers which may be purchased on-site.
- Facilities may not be rented for money-making ventures or functions that are advertised to the public. No on-site sale of tickets, food or beverages will be allowed.
- Use of paste, glue, nails, tacks, staples, or any other item that may mark walls, signs, beams, floors, ceilings, doors, or windows may not be used while decorating the premises. Use of confetti, glitter or water balloons is prohibited.
- Permit-holder is responsible for leaving the facility in a neat and orderly state as it was found prior to use. Food debris shall be disposed of properly and trash placed in the containers provided.
- Permit-holder is responsible for damage to or loss of facility property or equipment.
- A list of all guests will be required at check-in, and staff will distribute tickets to those on the list. Any guests not on the list will be required to pay waterpark admission.
- All posted rules of the waterpark and of each pool must be followed.
- Park staff reserve the right to terminate the rental agreement without a refund if any of these rules and regulations are violated.
- Payments and Cancellations
- Full payment is due at the time of booking.
- Returned checks are subject to a $35.00 fee.
- Cancellations are eligible for a 50% refund of total reservation amount. No refunds will be granted after guests have entered the waterpark.
- Severe weather may dictate the cancellation of your rental and shall be determined by park staff. In the event your rental is canceled by park staff before you arrive, you may reschedule or receive a full refund.
- There are no indoor facilities to accommodate your party in the event of severe weather. In the event that the waterpark closes due to severe weather, patrons will be instructed to exit the waterpark and seek shelter in their vehicles and will be allowed to use their dated receipt or ticket to enter the waterpark at a future date. (Admission to park is not included on a future date). Offer valid for current season only.
