Waivers & Refunds

Program Waivers



For participation in programs occurring prior to December 1, 2018 please complete our required Annual General Program Waiver for participation in any of the following:

  • Youth sports
  • Programs and classes that involve canoeing, kayaking, stand up paddleboarding (SUP), skateboarding, overnight camping, races/runs, and/or CCPRC transportation
If your program does not involve any of the activities mentioned above, you will not need a waiver in order to participate.


For all programs requiring a waiver occurring December 1, 2018 and beyond, the waiver will be built in to the registration process. 

Program & Event Cancellation/Refund Policy

  • CCPRC activities occur rain or shine. Registrants will receive a full refund if the program/event is cancelled by CCPRC and not rescheduled. 
  • Registrants withdrawing prior to the program will receive a 50% refund. 
  • All participant withdrawals must be received during regular business hours.

Facility Rental Policy

  • Reservations can be made no more than one year in advance.
  • Full payment is due at the time of the booking.
  • All cancellations are subject to 50% cancellation fee.

  • Facilities cannot be rented for moneymaking ventures or functions that are advertised to the public. No onsite sale of tickets, food or beverages will be allowed. Fundraising events require a Special Event Application for approval.


We reserve the right to use photos or videos taken of visitors while they are at Charleston County Park & Recreation Commission facilities or events for publicity purposes. Please lock your vehicle, and remove valuables from view. CCPRC is not responsible for any lost, damaged, or stolen property. Park fees, policies, operating schedules, and hours are subject to change without notice.
