Stono shelter is nearer to restrooms than the Wando shelter.

The Wappoo shelter offers 2100 sq. feet, a capacity of 300 people, picnic tables, located between a small lagoon and grassy meadow, accessible restrooms, accessible water and electricity, ceiling fans, grills, and sand volleyball court. Concrete pad is 95’ x 51’ with additional paved areas in the front and back of shelter. (Please note that the brick fireplace at the Wappoo Shelter is currently inoperable and cannot be used by renters.)
