[FOLLY BEACH] – The Moonlight Mixer series is back on the Folly Beach Pier! The next Moonlight Mixer of 2015 is set for Friday, July 24.

All ages are invited to celebrate the arrival of summertime weather with some shagging on the Folly Beach Fishing Pier. On select Friday evenings, DJ Jim Bowers will keep your feet moving with the hottest oldies and beach music. Event hours are 7 – 11 p.m. Other upcoming Moonlight Mixer dates will be Aug. 21 and Sept. 18. Rain dates for each event are the next night (Saturday).

Tickets are $10 per person ($8 for Charleston County residents with advance ticket purchase). Tickets are limited, so advance purchase is recommended. Online ticket purchases are available until midnight on the Thursday prior to each event.

Shaggers of all skill levels can bring a date or meet friends, let loose, breathe in the ocean air and dance the night away. Beverages will be available for purchase on-site. During the events, food will be for sale at Locklear’s Beach City Grill and the Gangplank Gift & Tackle Shop, located at the entrance to the pier. Food, beverages and parking fees are not included in ticket price.

Locals who love to shag dance are also encouraged to attend the Mount Pleasant Pier’s Shaggin’ on the Cooper series, held on select Saturdays on Aug. 15 and Sept. 12.
