Does your dog greet you with unconditional love at the end of a long day’s work? Area residents are invited to reward their loyal friends by bringing them to this season’s final free dog-friendly events at Charleston County Parks – Yappy Hour and Pups, Yups and Food Trucks.
The popular Yappy Hour series hosts its Thursday night finale Oct. 10 at James Island County Park. Held in the dog park, people can enjoy live music by Whiskey Diablo and beverages for sale, while their dogs enjoy an evening off leash. Yappy Hour runs from 4 p.m. to sunset.
Palmetto Islands County Park will host the season’s last Pups, Yups and Food Trucks on Thursday, Oct. 17. Join other area dog owners for live music, food trucks, and beverages in the meadow at the beautiful Mount Pleasant park. Afterward, let your four-legged friend run around the nearby dog park to socialize! Live music will be performed by The Bill Show with the Autobanh food truck on site. Pups, Yups and Food Trucks will run from 5 p.m. – sunset.
Best of all, both events are free with general park admission ($1 per person or free with Charleston County Parks’ Gold Pass)!
