[ARCHIVED] Who Let the Dogs Out?

On Sunday, Sept. 8, dogs will get their day at the waterpark at the 5th Annual Dog Day Afternoon!

On that special day, Whirlin’ Waters Adventure Waterpark at North Charleston Wannamaker County Park opens its doors to canines from 12 – 5 p.m., as the waterpark truly “goes to the dogs.” Large dogs can romp around in the 27,000-sq. ft. Big Kahuna wave pool and the Rollin’ River lazy river, while smaller pooches can make a splash in the refreshing Otter Bay kiddie pool. To maximize canine fun, owners will not be allowed in the water.

For entry to the event, dogs must be up-to-date on all necessary vaccinations. Admission to Dog Day Afternoon is $10 per dog. Charleston County residents may purchase advance tickets for $8 per dog. All tickets purchased on site will be $10. Owners are free with their pets. Spaces are limited, so sign up today! While in the park and for the safety of all guests, owners are encouraged to keep their dogs close at hand and in their control at all times.
