A great way to cool down during the final dog days of summer, Charleston County’s waterparks are still open for weekends through Labor Day! Fun awaits Lowcountry residents and visitors at Charleston County Park and Recreation Commission’s three waterparks - Splash Zone, Splash Island and Whirlin’ Waters Adventure Waterpark! All three area waterparks are now open Saturdays and Sundays through Sept. 1, as well as on Labor Day, Sept. 2.
Waterpark hours of operation are 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Then, on Sept. 8, it’s Fido’s chance to enjoy the waterpark! Dog Day Afternoon returns to Whirlin’ Waters for its fifth year. On this special day, select attractions at Whirlin’ Waters Adventure Waterpark will be open for dogs only, from noon – 5 p.m. For details, visit www.ccprc.com/dogday.
