[JAMES ISLAND] – The Charleston County Park and Recreation Commission will kick off the first Reggae Nights concert of its Summer Concert Series on Saturday, June 1 at James Island County Park. Gates open at 8:00 p.m. and music by Selah Dubb begins at 8:30 p.m.
For the perfect cool ending to a hot summer day, bring your chair or blanket, kick back, and relax to an outdoor reggae concert in the beautiful outdoor setting of one of your county parks. All ages are invited and children 12 and under, as well as Gold Pass holders, enjoy free admission to all events in the concert series. Hungry concert-goers can purchase Caribbean-style dishes, pizza and other festival foods at the event. Crafters and other vendors will be on site displaying local handmade crafts and souvenirs available for purchase.
Additional reggae concerts will take place throughout the summer at James Island County Park. The 2013 Reggae Nights Summer Concert Series lineup is:
