The Green Business Challenge (GBC) is a voluntary Charleston metro area program that promotes environmental sustainability while enhancing profitability. CCPRC’s Headquarters joined 59 GBC participants throughout the county to implement approximately 600 new strategies. Of the 59 GBC participants, there were only 16 award winners, including your Charleston County Parks!.
The agency’s Laurel Hill plan has also been recognized at the National Recreation & Park Association's Oglebay Green School as an award winner for Conceptual Design. This is a big honor and the Laurel Hill project will be featured in an upcoming NRPA magazine.
