[ARCHIVED] Bring Your Pup to Yappy Hour!

Dog lovers, after a long day at work, pick up your pooch and join the fun at Yappy Hour on Thursday, Aug. 23 at the James Island County Park Dog Park.

Mingle with friends old and new while your dog runs around with his favorite pals. Join us from 4 p.m. until sunset to enjoy live music on stage in the dog park.

On Aug. 23, live music will be provided by Rawberry Jam. Well-known throughout Charleston, this two-part acoustic duo originally from Raleigh, North Carolina will play its unique style of music live in the dog park. Beverages will be available for purchase. This event is FREE for you and your pup with the general $1 park admission or with the Charleston County Parks Gold Pass!

Outside alcohol is prohibited. No coolers, please. When outside of James Island County Park’s off-leash area, dogs must be leashed at all times.

James Island County Park is hosting more Yappy Hour events this fall! Upcoming Yappy Hours will be Sept. 20 with band Taco Donkey, and Oct. 11 with Old You. For more information on Yappy Hour, call 795-4386 or visit
