MOONLIGHT MIXERS, SHAGGIN’ ON THE COOPER CONTINUE THIS SUMMER

[CHARLESTON] – There are just a few chances left for shaggin’ to beach music on Charleston’s piers! Shaggin’ on the Cooper and the Moonlight Mixers are wrapping up the summer season. Charleston County Parks’ dance event series will finish up their final events of the year in September, with the next Moonlight Mixer events taking place on July 27, Aug. 10, Aug. 31 and Sept. 21 at the Folly Beach Fishing Pier. Then, the Mount Pleasant Pier will host the final concerts of the year in the popular “Shaggin’ on the Cooper” live music series on Aug. 4 and Sept. 8.

Celebrate the warm weather with some dancing on the water at the Mount Pleasant Pier and the Folly Beach Fishing Pier. Live music will fill the air at the Mount Pleasant Pier with local bands performing at Shaggin’ on the Cooper (schedule below). At the Folly Beach Fishing Pier’s Moonlight Mixers, DJ Jim Bowers will keep your feet moving with the hottest oldies and beach music. Gates open at 7 p.m. for both events, and tickets are $10 per person ($8 for Charleston County residents). Tickets are limited, so advance purchase is recommended. All ages are invited to let loose, breathe in the ocean breeze and dance the night away under the stars. Food and beverages will be available for purchase on-site at each event. For details or to purchase tickets, call 795-4386 or visit www.ccprc.com.
