Mystic Vibrations at James Island’s Reggae Concert Series July 21
CHARLESTON – The Charleston County Park and Recreation Commission continues the 2012 Reggae Nights Summer Concert Series on Saturday, July 21 at James Island County Park. Gates open at 8 p.m. and Mystic Vibrations will take the stage at 8:30 p.m.
Returning to the concert series, the Columbia-based group Mystic Vibrations produces a unique style of roots reggae. The strong roots of Mystic Vibrations, a four-piece rhythm section, began in Westmoreland, Jamaica and were brought to the US in 1992. Credited to their name are two self-released studio albums and one live recording, plus numerous live performances.
For the perfect cool ending to a hot summer day, bring your chair or blanket, kick back, and relax to an outdoor reggae concert in the beautiful outdoor setting of one of your county parks. All ages are invited and children 12 and under, as well as Gold Pass holders, enjoy free admission to all events in the concert series. Hungry concert-goers can purchase Caribbean-style dishes, pizza and other festival foods at the event. Crafters and other vendors will be on site displaying handmade crafts and souvenirs available for purchase. Additional reggae concerts will take place throughout the summer at James Island County Park.
