Concert Wraps Up the Summer Series

CHARLESTON – The Charleston County Park and Recreation Commission wraps up its 2012 Reggae Nights Summer Concert Series on Saturday, Aug. 18 at James Island County Park.

Gates open at 8 p.m., and Reggae Infinity will take the stage at 8:30 p.m. Wrapping up the concert series, Columbia-based band Reggae Infinity guarantees to give out positive vibrations while getting people’s feet moving.

For the perfect cool ending to a hot summer day, bring your chair or blanket, kick back, and relax to an outdoor reggae concert in the beautiful outdoor setting of one of your county parks. All ages are invited and children 12 and under, as well as Gold Pass holders, enjoy free admission to this last event in the concert series. Hungry concert-goers can purchase Caribbean-style dishes, pizza and other festival foods to complete the Reggae experience. Crafters and other vendors will be on site displaying and selling handmade crafts and souvenirs.

Tickets can be purchased at the gate. Tickets are $8 for adults (13 and up); children 12 and under are free. Annual Gold Passes will be honored. Please, no outside alcohol or coolers. James Island County Park is located at 871 Riverland Drive. For more information, visit www.ccprc.com/reggae or call (843)-795-4386.
