[ARCHIVED] Mullets on the Run!

Whether artificial or authentic, if you are a fan of or boast your own “mullet” hairstyle, mark your calendar for March 10! Dubbed the Mullet Haul, this second annual trail run is held at Mullet Hall Equestrian Center on Johns Island.

The Mullet Haul features both a 5- and 10-mile off-road run on the equestrian trails of the park on Johns Island Saturday, March 10. Both races begin at 10 a.m. Runners are encouraged, but not required, to sport a mullet hairstyle as part of this themed event. The best mullet will be awarded a prize. Following the races, awards will be presented for the top runners, and all participants will be invited to take part in a post-race party featuring live music and complimentary food and beverages.

Online registration for the Mullet Haul is open now through March 9. Late registration and packet pickup will be available on site on race day from 8 – 9:30 a.m. Official race t-shirts will be available to those who register by Feb. 24.

Fees to participate in the 5-mile run portion of the event are $34 or $28 for residents of Charleston County. Fees to run the 10-mile leg are $44 or $36 for residents of Charleston County. The Mullet Haul is for ages 10 and older. Participants ages 10-15 must be accompanied by an adult; however, adult chaperones do not need to participate in the run. Dogs and strollers are not allowed at this event.
