[JAMES ISLAND] – Families are invited to enjoy Supper with Santa for a good cause during the Holiday Festival of Lights! On Nov. 16, a special benefit event for The Parklands Foundation of Charleston County will offer breakfast for dinner, a visit with Santa and the opportunity to experience the magic of the festival at James Island County Park.

Families will enjoy breakfast for dinner in Edisto Hall, followed by the opportunity to meet Santa and a professional photo op with St. Nick. A link to the photo package will be included with the event fee. The dinner will be offered during two seating opportunities, from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. and from 7 – 8 p.m.

Then, participants can enjoy all of the festivities the Holiday Festival of Lights has to offer. Registration includes tickets to the festival train, the carousel and climbing wall, along with marshmallow roasting. And, of course, visitors can view the famous three-mile drive through the park’s two million lights and over 700 light displays. Children are encouraged to wear their favorite wintertime pajamas.

Advance registration is required for Supper with Santa. Only 100 tickets will be sold. Tickets are $25 per seating for ages 12 and under, or $50 for adults (ages 13 and up), and may be purchased by visiting TheParklandsFoundation.org.

Best of all, proceeds from Supper with Santa at the Holiday Festival of Lights will benefit The Parklands Foundation of Charleston County and its Pass It Forward Project. The Pass It Forward Project identifies barriers in accessing park facilities, programs and services, and facilitates the collection of donations and goods, passing those resources on to members of the community in need. A number of people in the Lowcountry encounter challenges in gaining access to Charleston County Parks’ programs and events. Challenges can range from lack of transportation to financial means to participate. The Pass It Forward Project provides opportunities for the community to access park facilities, programs and services throughout Charleston County Parks.

The Holiday Festival of Lights is open nightly at James Island County Park from Nov. 9 through Jan. 1. For more information on the Holiday Festival of Lights, visit HolidayFestivalofLights.com.
