Yappy Hour

Dog-Friendly event at James Island county Park, free with park admission

[JAMES ISLAND] – Play time for the pups and happy hour for the adults, what could be better? Yappy Hour at James Island County Park’s dog park returns with fall breezes on Thursday, Sept. 13.

On select Thursdays each spring and fall, dogs are invited to play around in the off-leash dog park while their owners enjoy a cold drink and relax to live music.

This 2018 series kicked off in April and continued through May. After a quick break for the summer, Yappy Hour returns on Sept. 13 with live music performed by Jeff Caldwell from 4 p.m. until sunset. The series finale will take place on Oct. 11 from 4 p.m. to sunset with live music from Redleg Husky.
Admission to the event is free with admission to James Island County Park, which is $2 per person or free for Gold Pass holders. Beverages, including beer and Coke products, will be available for purchase. All outside food, alcohol and coolers are prohibited.

For more information, call 843-795-4386, visit www.CharlestonCountyParks.com or download our mobile app. Yappy Hour is presented by Coca-Cola, the Charleston Animal Society and your Charleston County Parks.
