FOLLY BEACH] – Put on your dancing shoes -- the Moonlight Mixer series on the Folly Beach Pier wraps up on Sept. 14.
All ages are invited to the Moonlight Mixers for a celebration of summertime and to enjoy dancing in the ocean breeze. DJ Jim Bowers will keep the fun going as he plays beach music and popular oldies.
The five-part series kicked off in May. Each Moonlight Mixer runs from 7-11 p.m. at the Folly Beach Pier. Admission purchased in advance is $8 per person, and on-site tickets are $10 per person (based on availability). Advance purchase is recommended as tickets are limited. Beverages and alcohol will be available for purchase on site. Food will be available for purchase at the Pier 101 restaurant.
Attendees are welcome to bring chairs to the Moonlight Mixer series; however, coolers and outside beverages are prohibited. In the event a Moonlight Mixer is canceled due to inclement weather, receipts will be redeemable for a ticket to another Mixer this season.
Locals who love to shag dance are also encouraged to attend the Mount Pleasant Pier’s Shaggin’ on the Cooper series. Shaggin’ on the Cooper events feature live music on select Saturday evenings, with the season’s final event on Sept. 8.
