[MOUNT PLEASANT] --- Charleston County Parks is introducing a new holiday event at the Mount Pleasant Pier, Shuckin’ on the Cooper! The event, held Dec. 9, offers guests the opportunity to enjoy oysters and beverages while viewing the Holiday Parade of Boats.
This family-friendly event offers a great view of the City of Charleston’s Holiday Parade of Boats in the Charleston Harbor at the foot of the Mount Pleasant Pier. The pier stretches 1250 feet into the harbor at the foot of the Arthur Ravenel, Jr. Bridge and is a prime location to see the event from the shore that evening. The event at the Mount Pleasant Pier will take place from 5 to 9 p.m.
During the event, buckets of oysters and beverages will be available for purchase on site. Admission is $8 in advance or $10 on site if available, but advance ticket purchase is recommended. Buckets of oysters will be available for $10 each on site.
Live music will be provided throughout the evening by Charleston band Ellen Drive.
Beverages will be available for purchase on site; treats and snacks will also be on hand at the pier’s Riverwatch Cafe and Gift Shop. Outside alcohol and coolers are prohibited. Food and beverage fees are not included in ticket price.
Limited spaces will be sold for Shuckin’ on the Cooper. There will be no refunds issued or rain dates scheduled for this event. For details or to purchase tickets or call 843-795-4386.
