Reggae Nights Summer Concert Series hosts De Lions of Jah June 23
[JAMES ISLAND] – The Reggae Nights Summer Concert Series continues June 23! The Charleston County Park and Recreation Commission (CCPRC) will host Jacksonville-based De Lions of Jah in the series’ second performance, on Friday, June 23 at James Island County Park.
Gates open at 7:30 p.m. and music by De Lions of Jah begins at 8:30 p.m. Event gates will close to incoming traffic at 10:30 p.m. and the event will end at 11 p.m.
From Jacksonville Beach, FL, De Lions of Jah fuse traditional roots reggae with contemporary dance hall and dub influences. For the perfect ending to a long week, bring your chair or blanket, kick back and relax to an awesome outdoor reggae concert in the beautiful setting of James Island County Park. All ages are invited. Hungry concert-goers can purchase food on site at the event. Crafters and vendors will be on site with souvenirs available for purchase. Advance tickets are not available; admission is $10 per person at the gate. Gold Pass holders and kids 12 and under are free. Concerts take place rain or shine.
Additional reggae concerts will take place on select Fridays throughout the summer at James Island County Park. The series kicked off June 2. The remaining dates in the 2017 Reggae Nights Summer Concert Series lineup are:
