[NORTH CHARLESTON] – The Charleston County Park and Recreation Commission is starting St. Patrick’s Day a little early this year. Join the fun at Wannamaker County Park to celebrate the holiday with man’s best friend on Saturday, March 11, at the 3rd annual St. Paddy’s Pawlooza.

This dog-friendly special event will give people and their pets the chance to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day together in the park from noon to 4 p.m. Attendees to the Pawlooza will enjoy live music, beverages and food. St. Patrick’s Day attire is encouraged for all, especially for the four-legged friends!

Join the fun with other dogs and people at North Charleston Wannamaker County Park. The Michael Martin Band will perform live in the large dog park area, where pups can run around off leash. Then venture to the adjacent meadow area for beer and food trucks. The Charleston Animal Society will also be on hand with adoptable pets.

Outside alcohol and coolers are prohibited. Pets must be restrained or leashed when not in the off-leash dog park.

Admission to St. Paddy’s Pawlooza is $5 per person. Gold Pass Holders, kids 12 and under, and leashed pets are free of charge. Food and beverages are available for an additional charge.

St. Paddy’s Pawlooza marks the new year’s first dog-friendly Charleston County Parks event. Other upcoming events will include Pet Fest at Mount Pleasant Palmetto Islands County Park March 18-19, and the first installment of the popular Yappy Hour at James Island County Park on April 27.

St. Paddy’s Pawlooza is brought to you by Coca-Cola, the Charleston Animal Society, Crews Subaru and your Charleston County Parks.
