(Sept. 15, 2016) -- A little rain hasn't stopped us! Yappy Hour is still on tonight at James Island County Park, and don't miss the season's LAST Moonlight Mixer, tomorrow night, at the Folly Beach Pier.
Yappy Hour features live music and beverages for sale in the off-leash dog park at James Island County Park. On Thursday, Sept. 15, music will be provided by High Five Duo from 4 p.m. until sunset. You and your dog can mingle with friends old and new, while enjoying a pet-friendly atmosphere in the park. Best of all, Yappy Hour is free with park admission ($2 per person or free with the Charleston County Parks Gold Pass). Beverages, including beer and Coke products, are available for an additional fee. Outside alcohol and coolers are prohibited.
Then, tomorrow night, don't miss the summer's final shag dancing event! The last Moonlight Mixer of 2016 series is set for Friday, Sept. 16 at the Folly Beach Pier.
All ages are invited to enjoy some shag dancing, with DJ Jim Bowers playing the hottest oldies and beach music. Event hours are 7 – 11 p.m. Tickets are $10 per person ($8 for Charleston County residents with advance ticket purchase). Online ticket purchases are available until midnight on the Thursday prior to each event.
