[ARCHIVED] Reggae Nights Summer Concert Series finale Friday, Aug. 5 with Mystic Vibrations

[JAMES ISLAND] – The Reggae Nights Summer Concert Series presents its final concert of the season on Friday, Aug. 5! The Charleston County Park and Recreation Commission (CCPRC) will host concert series favorite Mystic Vibrations at James Island County Park.

Gates open at 7:30 p.m. and music by Mystic Vibrations begins at 8:30 p.m. Beginning in Little London, Westmoreland, Jamaica, and eventually spreading to the United States in 1992, Mystic Vibrations’ positive vibes and upbeat tempos have attracted a large fan base from around the world. This five-piece rhythm section reggae band is represented by exceptionally talented musicians who bring a positive energy to the stage. Their songs speak of love, peace, and unity, and concert-goers’ feet won’t be able to resist their sweet rhythms. Mystic Vibrations have performed alongside other Reggae groups from Jamaica including Burning Spear, Yellowman, Third World, Sizzla, Inner Circle and others. The group has played multiple years at the Reggae Nights Summer Concert Series.

For the perfect ending to a long week, bring your chair or blanket, kick back, and relax to an awesome outdoor reggae concert in the beautiful setting of James Island County Park. All ages are invited. Hungry concert-goers can purchase food on site at the event. Vendors will be on site with souvenirs available for purchase. No outside alcohol or coolers are permitted. Advance tickets are not available; admission is $10 per person at the gate. Gold Pass holders and kids 12 and under are free. Aug. 5 marks the final concert of CCPRC’s four-part summertime series.
