[ARCHIVED] Reggae Nights Summer Concert Series kicks off tomorrow!

[JAMES ISLAND] – The Reggae Nights Summer Concert Series kicks off June 3! The Charleston County Park and Recreation Commission (CCPRC) will host Black Lion as the series’ first performance on Friday, June 3 at James Island County Park.

Gates open at 7:30 p.m. and music by Black Lion begins at 8:30 p.m. Formed in 2014, Black Lion performs current to classic cover songs in authentic reggae fashion. Led by Eric Jennings, the band’s music specializes in familiar songs positively packaged in authentic Reggae music. Event gates will close to incoming traffic at 10:30 p.m. and the event will end at 11 p.m.

For the perfect ending to a long week, bring your chair or blanket, kick back, and relax to an awesome outdoor reggae concert in the beautiful setting of James Island County Park. All ages are invited. Hungry concert-goers can purchase food on site at the event. Crafters and other vendors will be on site with souvenirs available for purchase. Advance tickets are not available; admission is $10 per person at the gate. Gold Pass holders and kids 12 and under are free.

Additional reggae concerts will take place on select Fridays throughout the summer at James Island County Park. The 2016 Reggae Nights Summer Concert Series lineup is:
• June 3, Black Lion
• June 24, Ras Bonghi Reggae All-Stars
• July 8, Selah Dubb
• August 5, Mystic Vibrations
