[NORTH CHARLESTON] – The Charleston County Park and Recreation Commission is starting St. Patrick’s Day a little early this year. Join the fun at Wannamaker County Park to celebrate the holiday with man’s best friend on Saturday, March 12, at the 2nd annual St. Paddy’s Pawlooza.
This dog-friendly special event will give people and their pets the chance to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day together in the park from noon to 4 p.m. Attendees to the Pawlooza will enjoy live music, beverages, and food. St. Patrick’s Day attire is encouraged for all, especially for the four-legged friends!
Join the fun with other dogs and people at North Charleston Wannamaker County Park. The Michael Martin Band, a four-piece group known for their Irish folk and country style of music, will perform on stage in the dog park. Then venture just outside the off-leash area for craft beer and food trucks.
Outside alcohol and coolers are prohibited. Pets must be restrained or leashed when not in the off-leash dog park.
Admission to St. Paddy’s Pawlooza is $5 per person. Gold Pass Holders, kids 12 and under, and leashed pets are free of charge. Food and beverages are available for an additional charge.
St. Paddy’s Pawlooza marks the year’s first dog-friendly event. Other upcoming Charleston County Parks events will include Pet Fest at Mount Pleasant Palmetto Islands County Park March 19-20, and the first installment of the popular Yappy Hour at James Island County Park on May 12.
