Reggae Nights continues June 26 with Da' Gullah Rootz!
Charleston County Parks continues the 2026 Reggae Nights Summer Concert Series

 

[JAMES ISLAND] – The 2026 Reggae Nights Summer Concert Series continues at James Island County Park on Friday, June 26, with a live performance by Charleston-based band Da’ Gullah Rootz.

 

Blending reggae rhythms with the spirit and storytelling of Gullah-Geechee culture, Da’ Gullah Rootz delivers a sound rooted in heritage, joy and connection. The group’s music brings together elements of roots reggae, soul and Lowcountry cultural traditions, creating an energetic performance that celebrates community, resilience and pride. With uplifting grooves and a message-driven style, Da’ Gullah Rootz offers audiences a lively evening of music that honors local culture while keeping the crowd moving.

 

The Reggae Nights Summer Concert Series features traditional reggae performed live on stage in a beautiful outdoor setting. The June 26 concert is the second event in the 2026 summer series, which kicked off May 29 with the Equal Rights Reggae Band.

Gates open for the event at 7:30 p.m., and music begins at 8 p.m. Event gates will close to incoming traffic at 10:30 p.m., and music will end at 11 p.m.

 

Advance tickets are $20 per vehicle for up to 15 people and are available at CharlestonCountyParks.com (direct link). Tickets purchased the day of the event will be $30 per vehicle for up to 15 people. Gold Pass holders will be admitted free when presenting their pass at the gate, if space is available.

 

The Reggae Nights Summer Concert Series takes place in the park meadow, and guests are encouraged to bring their own chairs, blankets, etc. Concerts will take place in rain or shine. No outside alcohol or coolers are permitted at the event. Dogs are welcome but must remain leashed at all times.
