The Charleston County Park & Recreation Commission invites people with disabilities to experience our programs, services, trails and facilities to discover how our 11,000+ acres of parkland can enrich their lives. We strive to go beyond compliance with the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA) to provide opportunities for recreation, physical and emotional well-being, and peaceful respite.
At Caw Caw Interpretive Center, you'll find these accessibility highlights:

- Accessible restrooms and water fountains
- Accessible picnic tables located near Welcome Center
- Over 6 miles of natural, unpaved trails
- Some trail-side exhibits include accessible wildlife viewing locations
Reserve a Waymaker Offroad Wheelchair
During the fall and winter seasons, an off-road wheelchair is available for reservation thanks to the generosity of Waymaker Offroad Wheelchairs. Based in Hartsville, SC, this nonprofit is dedicated to helping individuals with mobility impairments explore the outdoors with greater independence.
To reserve the chair, visit the Waymaker Offroad Wheelchairs website during the fall and winter seasons and complete your booking. Then bring your confirmation email to the park office to pick up the chair. Please note that park admission is not included with your reservation.
