Kick off Halloween with a fun-filled event for the whole family!
{NORTH CHARLESTON} -- Get ready for a spook-tacular time at the third annual Trick, Treat & Trail Family Fun Run and Festival at Wannamaker County Park! Hosted by Charleston County Parks, the event will be held on Halloween day, Saturday, Oct. 31, beginning at 10 a.m.
Families are invited to dress in costume and enjoy a trick-or-treating Fun Run on the beautiful trails of Wannamaker County Park! The event will also feature a festival including entertainment from DJ Web Hollow, jump castles, balloon art and face painting. A variety of vendors will be on site selling food and refreshments, including Ma's Gourmet Kettlecorn and Lemonade, Zimos Gyro, King of Pops, and One Trick Pony Coffee.
Check-in for the event and trick-or-treat bag distribution will be held on site on event day from 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. The course for the fun run and trick-or-treating opens at 10 a.m. The course and the festival will be open until 1 p.m. Registration includes a custom trick-or-treating bag, finisher medal, and candy.
A costume contest will be held at the event at 12 p.m. Prizes will be provided for the best Halloween costume for male and female participants under the age of 4, ages 5-6, ages 7-8, ages 9-10, ages 11-15, ages 16-20, and ages 20+, along with best duo, best group of 3+, and best pet.
Registration
Early registration is open through Oct. 30 and is $25 per standard vehicle of up to 15. All participants must arrive together in the same vehicle. Day-of registration is available at the gate until 12:30 p.m. for $30 per vehicle. The fun run is open to runners and walkers of all levels, including beginners. Accessible parking and restrooms are available. The route includes a grass meadow and paved trails. This is a loop course with water stations and an optional shortcut route. Dogs are allowed at this event but must remain leashed and under control at all times.
