Moonlight Mixers on the Folly Pier and Dancing on the Cooper at the Mount Pleasant Pier
(MOUNT PLEASANT) – On select Friday evenings this summer, you are invited to enjoy music and dancing on some of the most beautiful waterfront locations in Charleston! Charleston County Parks’ live music series on the Mount Pleasant Pier, Dancing on the Cooper, and the Moonlight Mixers series at the Folly Beach Pier continue throughout the summer.
Both events run from 7 – 10 p.m. Featuring great music from a different local band each month, Dancing on the Cooper at the Mount Pleasant Pier features music from a variety of musical genres throughout the season. The Moonlight Mixers at the Folly Beach Pier feature a DJ or live band each evening. Tickets to each event are $10 per person in advance or $15 on site, if not sold out. Beverages are available for purchase. Chairs are welcome outside of the dance area.

- Dancing on the Cooper, Friday July 24 – featuring Tommy & the Chucktown Players
- Moonlight Mixer Friday, July 31 - featuring DJ Bill Shelton
- Moonlight Mixer Friday, Aug. 21 - featuring Calhoun’s Calling
- Dancing on the Cooper, Friday Sept. 11 – featuring the Cooper River Band
- Moonlight Mixer Friday, Sept. 18 - featuring DJ Bill Shelton
Tickets to Dancing on the Cooper and the Moonlight Mixers are $10 per person in advance and can be purchased by visiting CharlestonCountyParks.com (direct link). Events are expected to sell out, so advance purchase is recommended. If not sold out, tickets can be purchased on site at the event for $15 per person (credit card only).

Hallman Jr Blvd. Part of the Memorial Waterfront Park complex, the 1250-foot long Mount Pleasant Pier stretches out into Charleston Harbor under the foot of the Arthur Ravenel, Jr. Bridge. Free parking is limited and first-come-first-served at the Mount Pleasant Pier, so carpooling or ridesharing is recommended. There is a private parking garage available in nearby Ferry Wharf for an additional fee.

Amenities at the Folly Beach Pier include restrooms, the Koko’s on the Pier Restaurant and Bar, beach access, showers, and the Gangplank Gift & Tackle Shop (which sells gifts, sundry items, refreshments and tackle/bait, and offers rod rentals). The Folly Beach Pier offers accessible parking, restrooms, and water fountains, as well as an accessible ramp to the pier and an accessible route to the event area at the end of the pier.
