[ARCHIVED] Location change: Oct. 5's Wine Down Wednesday rescheduled for Oct. 26 at McLeod Plantation

Update: Wine Down Wednesday, usually held at Old Towne Creek County Park, will be held at McLeod Plantation Historic Site on Oct. 19 and 26 due to debris from Hurricane Matthew. McLeod Plantation is located on James Island and dogs are not permitted at the site.

The Charleston County Park and Recreation Commission invites the Lowcountry to view this beautiful park property and enjoy a wine social, with the final two of the three-part fall series set for Wednesday, Oct. 19 and Oct. 26 from 5-7 p.m. The Oct. 26 event was rescheduled after Hurricane Matthew affected the original event date of Oct. 5.

At each Wine Down Wednesday event, guests will enjoy wine and live music while exploring this historic park located on James Island.. Admission fees also cover wine and a commemorative wine glass. Food trucks will be on site, with food available for purchase.

On Oct. 19, with Matt Alvanos will perform, and the Pic-A-Nic Basket food truck will be on site. The event will return on Wednesday, Oct. 26 with live music from Wood & Wire and food from Café Tippeneaux.

Charleston County residents can register in advance for $15. Non-Charleston County residents and day-of admission is $20 per person. Event hours are 5 – 7 p.m.
