[NORTH CHARLESTON] – Charleston County Parks are welcoming people with special needs, their families, caregivers and friends to a unique night at the waterpark! On Saturday, June 18, Whirlin’ Waters Adventure Waterpark in North Charleston will open its gates in the evening for these guests to enjoy.
Special Needs Swim Night will take place after the waterpark is closed to the general public, from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. Located in North Charleston at Wannamaker County Park, Whirlin’ Waters is the largest waterpark in the Charleston area and offers attractions for all ages. Whirlin’ Waters is home to Otter Bay kiddie pool area, the Big Splash Tree House, Lily Pad Lagoon toddler play area, Rollin’ River lazy river, the Big Kahuna wave pool, and the Tubular Twister slide complex. Some attractions have minimum height restrictions.
Lifeguards will be on duty throughout the evening. Admission to Special Needs Swim Night at Whirlin’ Waters is $9 per person attending. Food and beverages will be available for purchase at the waterpark. In case of rain, Special Needs Swim Night will be rescheduled for July 23. Whirlin’ Waters Adventure Waterpark in North Charleston will host another Special Needs Swim Night on July 16. Splash Zone Waterpark on James Island will be offering a Special Needs Swim Night on Aug. 6.
