[MOUNT PLEASANT] – The Town of Mount Pleasant and the Charleston County Park and Recreation Commission (CCPRC) are seeking public input on a future park property through an online survey. The two agencies are working together to develop a master plan for a jointly owned park located on Rifle Range Road in Mount Pleasant.

The park will be constructed in years to come on a 245-acre property located between Six Mile and Hamlin Roads. Current possibilities for amenities at the park include trails, open meadows, a dog park, climbing wall, athletic fields and facilities, interpretive signs, and others. Any interested party is encouraged to visit https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/RifleRangeRoadPark to provide their input on features they would like to see put into place at the future park, as well as answer other questions. The survey will be open through Dec. 18. Public comments will help the design team evaluate the community’s desires, needs and concerns for this park.
The survey comes after a well-attended public workshop that was held on Nov. 19 to gather input and provide information about the future park.
The property is owned by both the Town and CCPRC and was purchased with funding assistance by the Charleston County Greenbelt Program.
