Charleston Sprint Triathlon Series
The five-race Charleston Sprint Triathlon Series at James Island County Park features a 600-yard freshwater swim, 12-mile bike ride, and 5K flat run. Over 30,000 people have raced the series over the years, and the series has been honored as one of the Top Ten Charleston Signature Sport Events by the Charleston Metro Sports Council.

Take to the trails of Johns Island County Park during the Lowcountry Trail Half Marathon & 5K. Beautiful fall foliage, moss-draped oaks, and native wildlife provide a scenic backdrop to the perfect trail run, followed by an awards party with music, food, and beer.

Traverse the scenic trails of Laurel Hill County Park during our Off-Road Duathlon. This three-part, beginner friendly course begins with a 2-mile run, then a 7-mile bike, and finishes with another 2-mile run.

Save the Light Half Marathon & 5K
A half-marathon and 5K to support the preservation of the Morris Island Lighthouse by Save The Light, a grassroots non-profit organization that formed in 2000 to save the Morris Island Lighthouse from being lost to the sea. Both races are USATF-certified and start and finish near the Folly Beach Pier. Half Marathon is a run only event. The 5K is open to runners and walkers.

Trick, Treat and Trail
Get ready to be treated during our first annual spooktacular family fun run/walk! The event begins with a 5K fun run/walk and stroll, where participants should be on the lookout for friendly ghosts and goblins along the way. Then stick around for a Boo Fest full of ghoulish entertainment, a costume contest, face painting, mind-bending nature and science fun, and carnivalesque drinks and refreshments.

Where the Wild Things Run 5K
Walkers, joggers, and runners: come explore your wild side on the scenic nature trails at Caw Caw Interpretive Center. Caw Caw is actively managed for a variety of wildlife and a favored habitat for rare wildlife, so there is also the chance you may see a "wild thing" or two! An award ceremony with local food and beverages will be held immediately afterward.

Youth Triathlon
Presented in conjunction with Palmetto TRIbe, our youth triathlon at James Island County Park is a multi-sport experience like no other in the area - the first to offer an open-water swim. This is an excellent opportunity for youth to experience a lake swim in a safe, well-monitored course. After the swim, participants will traverse the shaded paths and roads inside the park on the run and bike course.

5K Run/Walk Trail Series
The 5K Run/Walk Trail Series is held at some of our most treasured parks for trail runners and walkers: Caw Caw Interpretative Center, Johns Island County Park, and Laurel Hill County Park. Throughout the year, series participants will journey through the landscape of the Lowcountry, from swamps of cypress trees to forests of palmettos to oak alleys, with more change in their pockets and the opportunity to win 5K trail series awards and finisher medals.
