Pet Fest

Give back to your furry friends by bringing them out to experience a day of fun, frolic, and exploration at Palmetto Islands County Park. Pets and their owners are invited to join us for exhibits, demonstrations, experts, entertainment, and more at Charleston’s premiere pet festival!

Hours & Admission

  • 11 a.m.-4 p.m.
  • $8 per person. (Save $3 per person with pet food or pet supply donation.) 
  • Free for Children 12 & under and Gold Pass members.
  • Carpooling is encouraged, as parking is limited.

Fun for the Furry Family

  • Swift Paws Lure Chasing - let your dog race for a $10 donation
  • Dog washing stations - Clean up your pup for $5 donation
  • Lowcountry Dog Magazine cover model contest
  • Meet local rescue groups and centers with adoptable animals. You might also meet your new best friend! Adopt a forever friend from the Charleston Animal Society on-site at Pet Fest and receive a free Individual Park Pass membership!
  • Visit with veterinarians, trainers, groomers, and pet suppliers to learn more about nutrition, education, and training.
  • Take the Canine Good Citizens Test to see if your dog is ready for certification!
  • Off-leash beer garden with live music from Weigh Station from 12-4 p.m.
  • Food and beverages for sale - ID is required to purchase alcohol. Outside food, alcohol, and coolers are prohibited.

Stage Schedule

  • 11:30 a.m. Dog parade
  • 12:30 p.m Top Dog Mascot winner announcement and pet contests (Best Trick, Owner Pet Look-Alike, Face Only a Mother Could Love, Musical Sit, Best Dog Costume)
  • 2 p.m.  Charleston Kennel Club’s “Meet the Breed” Family Dog Show
  • 3 p.m. Pet contests (Best Trick, Owner Pet Look-Alike, Face Only a Mother Could Love, Musical Sit, Best Dog Costume)
