Junior Counselor Leadership Program
2010 Summer Camps
The Junior Counselor Leadership Program is looking for dedicated youth, ages 13-16 to assist with our Explorers Camp for the upcoming summer. Participants will have a wonderful opportunity for growth and learning while being of service to their community. Spend your days assisting in camp activities such as crabbing, nature discovery, canoeing, arts & crafts, and games, while focusing on leadership development.
Junior Counselors are not solely responsible for supervising the campers, they will assist the Explorers Camp staff with various activities and duties of the daily camp schedule.
Junior Counselors are supervised by the Explorers Counselors, Head Counselor, Assistant Camp Director, and Camp Director. |

| Responsibilities |
- To attend all phases of training
- Meet new ideas with an open mind, accept constructive feedback, and make positive changes
- To show a willingness to have a positive attitude at all times and adapt to change
- To accept and follow all CCPRC policies and camp regulations
- To be respectful and responsible for all CCPRC property and equipment
- To assist in the creation and maintenance of a physically and emotionally safe environment for participants
- To follow the set schedule for service, Monday through Friday, 8am-4:30pm
- To participate fully in weekly meetings for the Junior Counselor Leadership Program
- To assist with preparation, execution and clean up of camp programs and activities as assigned, including lunch time and cookout
- To attend all scheduled sessions and participate in all camp activities unless excused by prior arrangement

| Eligibility |
- Must be between the ages of 13-16
- Must be available for 2 consecutive weeks during the summer
- Must be available for orientation on June 1, 2010
- Must be energetic, motivated, and willing to work with young children

| Dress Code |
| Khaki shorts or pants and the provided camp shirt, as well as comfortable closed-toe shoes is the required dress. Appropriate water clothing and shoes for canoeing and water park activities is permitted. Personal appearance should be neat and clean. In the event the camp shirt is unavailable, a solid color t-shirt (with no logos, designs, pictures, etc) is permitted. |

| Application is available online, by emailing the Assistant Camp Director, or calling 843-762-8052. Application deadline is April 30, 2010. Position is not guaranteed until confirmed by the Camp Director. |
