2010 Summer Day Camps
At Your Charleston County Parks
|

|
| The natural settings of your county parks offer adventurous youth an ideal venue to learn about themselves and create a personal connection with our environment. Campers will experience the wonders of the Lowcountry and develop physical, social, and decision-making skills while enjoying an array of recreational activities. Our camp program strives to promote self-confidence and environmental awareness in each youth. We make every effort to ensure each participant experiences success by teaching to each individual’s level. Charleston County Park & Recreation Commission is committed to giving you and your child a positive and supportive camp experience. |

Staff
Staff members are trained to assist in the development of self-confidence, cooperative skills, and environmental awareness in campers. Collectively, staff is experienced in instructing lifeguarding, minimum impact camping, canoeing, kayaking, rock climbing, mountain biking, and challenge course facilitation. Small group sizes allow counselors to give campers personal attention. All staff are certified in First Aid and CPR, and Adventure and Teen Venture counselors hold additional certification in Wilderness First Aid. Our top concern is the emotional and physical safety of your child. |
