The Climbing Wall

The Climbing Wall at James Island County Park is the Lowcountry’s tallest outdoor climbing facility. The 50-foot wall features more than 4,500 square feet of climbing space including 14 top ropes and 2 lead climbing routes.  The Climbing Wall offers challenges for every climber, regardless of experience. Our qualified staff are available to assist with the technical safety procedures for all ages and abilities. at James Island County Park

All climbers must complete a Hold Harmless form and climbers under age 18 must have it signed by a parent or legal guardian. Returning climbers must have the form on file before climbing.

All belayers must have a valid CCPRC Belay Card, take a belay class, or pass our belay test in order to belay. A Hold Harmless form must be on file. Belayers must be at least 14 years old unless participating in a CCPRC instructional program.
