Your Charleston County Parks bring the inherent beauty and adventure of the outdoors to you in a convenient and professional manner through our Summer Camp programs. Our camps are ideal venues for adventurous youth to learn more about themselves while simultaneously creating a personal connection with the environment through experience, education, and fun. Programs are designed to challenge, entertain, and inspire youth through a wide array of activities and outdoor adventures that develop physical, social, and decision-making skills. Camps also promote self-confidence and environmental awareness, with a commitment to providing a positive, supportive, and fun camp experience for you and your child.
Our staff is a carefully selected group of highly qualified individuals who are passionate about working with youth in a camp environment. Staff members are trained to assist in the development of self-confidence, cooperation, personal growth, and environmental awareness. Collectively, the staff can confidently provide instruction and facilitation in lifeguarding, Leave No Trace principles, canoeing, kayaking, rock climbing, mountain biking, stand-up paddle boarding, challenge course facilitation, group games, arts and craft projects, and environmental education. Small group sizes allow counselors to provide individual attention in a group setting. All our staff are certified in First Aid and CPR. Additionally, Adventure and Teen Venture counselors are certified in Wilderness First Aid or Wilderness First Responder, while Junior Lifeguard counselors have Red Cross Lifeguard training. The emotional and physical well-being of our campers is our top priority.
